    Nothing unusual. This is a shot (no pun) of a "Hercules Team", one of NYPD's
    anti-terrorist units checking out Times Square around last year's holidays. Routine visit. Actually, it did get fun. In spite of the look they have, tourists wanted to take pictures of them, so they all lined up with their attack-dog and posed. In spite of their scary looks, they are friendly and try their utmost to both keep an eye out and relax tourists about their presence.

    Those additional details really add alot to both pics, IMO thumb.gifthumb.gif Now I better understand the first pic's context and also have a better grasp on what you were trying to capture.

    That 2nd pic is pretty kewl with those NYPDer's posing for pics....lol clap.gif

    What's intersting about the 2nd pix is that - if you ignore the woman's camera - (or were to digitally remove it) - it looks very much as if the cops are threatening her and she's in a panic. I guess that's why courts and the law can no longer trust a photo as evidence. Change a detail, change the meaning.
