Marc,
Been a while since I've seen some of your photos.
The cheerleader shot is nicely done.
The next two basketball shots, however, have quite a bit of noise and a good loss of detail.
On the first hockey shot - it's tough to find the puck but finally saw it. Really not much of interest in the shot though.
2nd hockey shot - generally speaking a photo of a hockey player's but isn't very interesting. It's about faces, not buts.
The two baseball shots are nice. On the pitcher, I would prefer a different crop - without the leg cut off at the ankle but that's a matter of taste. The dive back to first is sharp.
Santa is also sharp - although not doing anything particularly note-worthy in a sports forum.
The wrestling photo looks flat with washed out colors and again is a shot of backs and not faces.
The golf shot is nice composition, great background and good exposure. But it's generally frowned upon to take a shot during a player's swing like that.
Given the title of your post, I'm scratching my head at many of these photos. I have to believe I'm not telling you anything on these you don't already know as someone whose been shooting sports for 20 years. So, am I missing some kind of joke?
John, on the golf shot, it's only frowned upon to shoot during the swing, if you are within hearing distance of the player. I was probably using a 400mm or longer. Experience trumps puttin a camera in John Daly's face.
Hey Marc - yeah, I probably wouldn't be following Daly around with a camera right now
One other question - I've noticed in several of your posts you say "we". Do I interpret that correctly that you're posting phoos you yourself didn't take? If not, what's with the "we"?

We will try harder next time.
