Question. I know it's been asked and I apologize for the repeat. Where/What/Who can I find for background tracks to wedding slideshows? Unless a bride hands me a CD and says she wants that particular type of music, I must admit I'm not sure where to turn for instrumentals/tracks in general. There's the whole copyright hurdle but let's get down to the nuts & bolts of it. A bride wants music and/or instrumentals in her slideshow. Are there royalty free sites for this type of thing and what/which ones do yall suggest? Thanks for the help!

Shaun Paul is a wonderful Cellist that arranges music for movie soundtracks... and he is willing to license his music out for slideshows and other stuff. And should I mention that I absolutely love his stuff? Everlasting is the best album IMHO.

    Here is a link.

You know, this is a really interesting question. I'm not sure I have any answers (yet), but I'll be asking around!

As a matter of interest, what sort of music do weddings usually request these days? As a classical musician, the ones I have seen most are typical Wagner/Mendelssohn/Ave Maria traditional affairs, but what's the fashion these days? Just wondering...

I'll post back if and when I come up wtih some answers for you.

The "Nora Jones style" is really IN at weddings up here. I'll be happy when the next fad comes.

Thanks guys....and gals! Love it, love it! Keep 'em comin'! Gavin Rossdale's new single "Love Remains the Same" is the kind of thing I am after. Another is "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. This is definately the type/genre style of music the clients are asking for.

Just remember you have to get permission from an artist to use their song, so you are safer with royalty free music that you can purchase the rights to use.
