More hairy thoughts

Ok, so The Hairy Beast AND some sunshine both cooperated today (yippee! Above freezing for the first time in about 10 days!) and I snapped a few more hairy shots.

I think this must be the doggiest round (that wasn't actually themed "canine") ever!

In any case, stick with current entry, or go with one of the others? :scratch

    I am kind of torn between your current entry and "new #2". I think that the current entry fits the theme really well but I love the little red heart on the collar in the new entries.

    I like New#2, it has an almost "Painterly" look. ( if that is a real word ) And like Grly said, the red heart on the collar is really set off.

    I also like #2. I'm not really a "dog" person, but #2 makes me want to pet the dog, he/she looks like he/she would feel so soft. Of the two #2s I like the sharpened version better. Photo #1 gives me the impression that his/her hair is very coarse.

    I like #2 as well - I think it's just a better picture (the cut off top of head in the original was bugging me, which is one of the reasons I wanted to reshoot!). Thanks everybody!

    I really like your new photo also. I'm torn between the soft focus & the sharp though. The sharp one is a better entry, but the soft one is the one I'd want to print to show off my baby.

    That's exactly my feeling too, Sherry - I really love the soft-fuzzy one, but I think it's probably a weaker entry. But I'm very glad to have the shot! It was sure nice to have some warmer sun today - we both enjoyed a few minutes of non-freezing fresh air :)

    I really like the soft-focus shot. But what is a total hoot is the shot of your dog wearing that red tie. Have you considered entering something like that?

    Ha - what, you mean my 30 second grab-a-picture-off-google-and-photoshop-it-in tie shot?! rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks for the feedback, and for commeting on the soft one. That was for sure my favorite, but I'm not sure it says "hair" as loudly. Need to think on whether to swap it out or just leave things as is.... ne_nau.gif There are (as usual) so many good entries I'm not sure it makes much difference! :giggle

    For what its worth, I like the New #2 out of all of your shots also.

    Oh, and being the non-conformist, when made to wear a tie, I usually do so in this fashion.

    Right. Get the dog a tie, tie it around his head like that, drive a Rolls into a swimming pool, make the dog sit on top it and then take a picture for the challenge.

    Failing that, I'd go for #1.
