Awwwwww.....!!!!!!!

bsquirrelsm4pr.jpg

This is my first shot after discovering I have a family of 4 (that I've counted so far) baby black squirrels in one of the trees in my backyard!

They walk so gingerly...

I think this one's the independant one...

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I have only seen 1 black squirrel, and that was 2 years ago.

    Nice pics.

Thanks Harry! The branches above were moving around, causing shadows which made it even tougher. Just to see these little 'fellas was a real treat Harry. thumb.gif

Aaawwwww is right! How wonderful. There are squirrel babies here somewhere too as the mom is clearly nursing, just haven't caught them yet. And of course they aren't that gorgeous black squirrel that you easterners have! Well done, great exposure on the black.

    Heh,

When I posted this, I never thought about others not having any black squirrels. Something taken for granted living here I guess.... Thanks for looking!

Is that anywhere near Smallville? he he

Great shots.... no great Scott(!) black squirrels!! I have seen black squirrels as often as I've seen white alligators. Once. that was right here :-)

Thank you for sharing these sweet shots, Aj

Yep, balck squirrels are quite a bit rarer than the brown/red ones. I've got a few in my area and they are fun to watch.

Those two are greatclap.gif So wide-eyed and innocent. Sort of like cartoon squirrels out of Bambi....lol

I'm not sure about that, Mark, but I do know it's often confused with squaresville (same area code#?)... My pleasure sharing these Mark! thumb.gif

They are indeed a joy to watch. Today I was watching one tyke eating flowers and buds off an apple tree, it was so sweet I just stared and didn't even think about getting my camera. iloveyou.gif

    Thanks Steve! thumb.gif
