    I'm not sure what you were going for with this series, but if you were just trying to show this carved piece, I think you could do a bit better by stopping down the aperture to get more in focus. You might explore some more dynamic lighting and a different 'platform' for the piece -- black cloth, sand, etc. Even thought it might seem more 'plain', a top-down view might help showcase the piece a bit better as well.
