Is there anyways that when you do a "New Stuff" search that things from the smugmug customization and pro sales support and the rest of them show up in that?
I'm looking at the forum home page and it shows there are new posts in those to forums, when I click the "New Stuff" link in the navbar, there are no new posts.
Is there something wrong with this or is it a feature that is turned off?

If you are a tiny bit geeky, you can use your browser to create custom searches and save them as bookmarks. The general syntax is:
The numbers at the end are the forum ID numbers, which you can discover by looking at the URL of each forum. Change these numbers to whatever you like, then save the resulting URL as a bookmark. You can also substitute "exclude" for "include" which might make for a shorter list. Instead of including all the forums on the list in the search, it will include all forums and exclude the ones you specify.
Hope this helps.
The second one a) doesn't make sense to me, I'd have to click a new bookmark to do a search for each thread for new posts? and b) I'm not even a tiny bit geeky (html at least, I'm VERY camera tech geeky)

This should include all forums including the support forums. Saving that as a bookmark is the only way I know of to access it quickly for most people and browsers.

Why does the "New Stuff" link not take you to the same link at the "getnew" one you just provided me? That doesn't make any sense.

Because we want the New Stuff to only find photography threads. That's why the four forum numbers after the "exclude" is there... to not search through the Smugmug support forums.
One could build up a personal search function themselves by including or excluding certain forum numbers in the string - by saving and then editing a bookmark.
