An evening with the pier...

I took these shots back around Thanksgiving down in Ocean Beach here in San Diego. I've just now gotten around to processing them and these are the best of an evening of experimenting.
1) This may be the best of the night... I wish there was a little more orangish/red in the sunset, but what there is I had to pull out of the raw and it's about at it's limits without looking faked.
2) OK, so I'm not thrilled about the color of the sand in this one, but the sky looks pretty good to me!
3 & 4 were experiments in the effect of long shutter speeds on the waves around the pier and accompanying rocks. The colors I captured ended up being somewhat uninspiring so I've experimented with some processing... as you can see!
3) I cooled this one considerably. It seemed to fit the feel...
4) And a black & white... with a "ghost"

Thanks for looking!

Thank you, Dan!
Sadly, #2 is already heavily cropped (just more proof that I should plan out my shots more before I take them) as I wasn't expecting the sand to look so awful. I'm afraid if I crop it anymore, there won't be much left. I'll probably head back there before too long to try again and get closer to the pier so I won't have to crop away so much sand!
