I do some portraiture work and I just signed up for a Smugmug pro account yesterday to try and sell some photos.

Do you think this would make money? Some one said it's not very flattering.

:huh :D

This is an absolutely amazing portrait Villiage Idiot, I am sure you will have no problem whatsoever selling it.

If that is your spouse/partner/good friend, then she clearly has a good sense of humor. It's a great, funny shot for a family album - nicely exposed, good detail, decent lighting.

But I'd pretty much bet all the money in my wallet that your subject would cut your head off if you tried to use it to "make money". Thanks to the closeup and wide angle, you can see every pore in her skin, her nose is the size of the Queen Mary, and is that a tongue sticking out or just hanging out? Unflattering is an understatement (again, in a commercial sense - which you asked about).

    wave.gif - Welcome!

I don't think I would do that to my worst enemy. This is a photo I would take to experiment with a lens, but it would never see the light of day - for all the reasons outlined by DoctorIT.

Well, that depends. Were you using a fisheye lens, or is her head actually shaped like that? mwink.gif
