The rest are all wonderful to but... it's never before bothered me to pick up earthworms... till now. I'm not sure I'll be able to catfish this summer now :cry What the heck are those springtail thingmagiggies ickies on the worms? Yuck!!!

I wouldn't worry about the things on the earthworm - they are not parasites- they just like licking the mucous on the worms. This only happens in Winter in my compost bin when the springtail population explodes but there are still a few earthworms about as well.
