The Lily Pond

Hi, My wife has always wanted a Lily pond - so that was my gardening project last winter. We were given some lily plants by some good friends of ours a couple of weeks ago and they are starting to flower already. In these days of world turmoil - it is nice to appreciate the simple things in life - such as a lily pond.

Hi Skippy, thanks for your feedback and yes - my wife is very happy with the results, as is the local 'motorbike' frog population.
The off-centre placement of the lily in the shots is as a result of your feedback from my first post - thanks for the tip.
    Cheers, Richard

Beautiful images, all of them! #1 is my favorite.

My list of photos that I want to take has long included a lily pad image. The ones I've shot have not been what I want, so I may just look at yours (longingly) instead! Thanks for sharing such beauty.

They are all very, very nice. Great work. I prefer #1 and #2. And I think I like #2 the best. The OOF pedal in the rear keeps drawing my eye. I suggest you darken it some so that it doesn't lead the viewer away from the foreground pedal but to it. Just a little bit darker. Make sense?

Hi Lauren, I'm glad you like them - all I need now is a frog sitting on a lily pad!

Hi Jeff. I know exactly what you mean and I did try your suggestion before posting the shot. Unfortunately my 'technical ability' was not up to it - could not get any real detail into that petal - I am an amateur when it comes to these things - such is life! Thanks for your feedback - much appreciated.
    Cheers, Richard.
