Upload and maintain directory structure?

My directory structure is:

Is this possible or do I have to create these galleries manually on SM and then upload folder/month by folder/month?

01-2008
02-2008
03-2008
I would like to point MacDaddy or any uploader at the 2008 folder and maintain all the sub-folders on SM.02-2008
