I walked in the house & Guswife had 20D with 135 f2 in the kitchen sink full of water. I thought..keep calm & ask the reason. She said "im cleaning it for you". I took it out & let it sit for a min contemplating the result.. walked back into the kitchen & she had it back in the sink.
I took it out again & looked through it with the lens still on & all i could see was a foggy view with water sloshing around inside. Took the lens off & there was about 1/4 cup of water inside the shutter.
Do you have any idea how good it is to wake at 4.30am & realise that it was safe !!!
There was an actual conversation the night before when camera/lens was on the covered balcony & light rain was falling when guswife reminded me that it was there. I replied that it wasnt getting wet at all & it had a small degree of water resistance anyway to a light mist.
There will be no more discusions like that from this point on.

That was one hellava wetdream :lol If you would have sprung for the waterproof 1D/1Ds, you wouldn't have dreams like that.....
Hey Gus, having dreams about cameras is a sure sign that you're getting old
Or, that you are really taking your photography wayyyyyyyy toooo seriously
Take a spoonful of Vegamite and a couple of Cherry Ripes and call me in the morning
I'll have you know that you made me spew Coca Cola through my nostrils with this one

Steve sometimes you dream of your fears...your kids being abducted...fire etc..stuff that you cant control even though you should be able to.. but now its sadly just the camera & i was impressed that it took out my favorite lens as well.
