Rainbow Over Tucson

We get lots of rainbows here in Tucson, but last night as I was driving home we had one that was pretty exceptional.

The intensity of the rainbow is impressive in #2.

Very nice capture, Dan!

I've always been under the impression that Tuscon was a very dry place and therefore you wouldn't get to see marvelous rainbows like this! I'm happy to see I was wrong!

Wow, the first photo is really spectacular. I love the combination of the rainbow, blue sky and yellowish clouds. Well done!

Thanks Chris. Yes, it is dry, but when it rains there is often a rainbow due to wide open sky, mountains, and scattered showers.

Beautiful! I can count on one hand the number of rainbow shots I have (they're always so fleeting...). You got a nice strong vivid one here.

Hi..just happened to connect to your thread because of a reply you had to GeoGlass about software. I noticed you were from Tucson so I clicked a little further and found this shot...I was born and raised in Tucson and to see a sky like that brings a wave of homesickness and memory..Thanks for sharing.
