Glowing Ground and a Gnarly Cactus

The lighting faded quickly but I did like how it was making the ground cover around the cactus 'glow'.
The second is one gnarly cactus...kinda ugly so I took the picture...but the lighting was rich enough to make him worthy. :D Any recommendations are appreciated.

I really like the near/far comp on that second shot, might have been better with just a little more space on the left of the cactus in the foreground? Anyway, nice shot :D

    Impressive cactus! :D

In the second shot, I would move the camera a bit to the left so that the cactus wouldn't touch the edge of the photo. But the light was indeed sweet!

Thank you much! I do prefer the standard saguaro but once inawhile the oddball stands out. Yes, I see that I should have framed the cactus better and will remember that next time.
