Some mountain shadows on Mount Rainier, Washington from about 12k. I love seeing these, so thought I'd share.
Here's some others from the long weekend up there skiing and climbing one of the rarely visited routes. Pretty cool area.

Exposures look very good as well. Shooting in snow isn't always the
easiest.
Looks like an exciting trip, avalanches included.

Thx Alvin.
BTW, what looks like avalanche debris is actually from an icefall higher up on the glacier. You don't stick around those areas long.
Snow is a pain to shot in that's for sure. But I love it.
I find those things worked most for in life are often the most enjoyable ... and ski mountaineering takes pounds (literally) of effort so it would be fair say, "skiing is enjoyable".

They're all really good shots. You've got some great terrain there. I love the guy getting the air off the cornice with no gloves. Also, that last guy dropping into the chute. Heck, they're all great. thumb

these are all very powerful images, but the one I really like above the others is the one where a person is walking by the ice fall. Just looking at that capture makes you feel insignificant in the extreme. Two
These are amazing!! NatGeo quality and beyond!! Inspirational, tack sharp! I'm speechless. Simply some of the best I've seen EVER.
Neither can we......:D
Fantastic series of shots
Cheers, Richard.
Fantastic photos and from what I can see, a fantastic trip. I can't wait to see more!

Ah, here we are! I'll post here for a few to enjoy....
"Enchanted"
Lean against me forest
On this windy evening
When the sun swallows the horizon
Gulps in the day
Don’t let me feel the cold
Don’t!
I will stay
Even when cold slips onto my bones
And the moon surrenders her light
I will be here
So pull up your sleeves shadow
On this silent evening
When the stars harness their hunger
Suckle in the night
Don’t let me fear the loneliness
Don’t!
I will stay
Even if moments are like the watery brook
Crashing down cliff side, stalling in shimmering pool
I will be here
So rise up to greet me meadow
On this breathless morning
When the moon swallows the horizon
Gulps in the night
Don’t wrestle with my feelings
Don’t!
I will stay
