Nice shot, Clay!! Luckily the gentlemen operating the carousel stayed pretty still for you durring the long exposure! And I like the typical grey Central New York skys!

I remember spending quite a few Saturdays wandering around that mall when my friends and I couldn't find anything better to do... Thanks for sharing!

ya i live about an hour south of syracuse (im about 10 min from ithaca). We had just picked up family from the train station, for a visit, and stopped by the mall for lunch.

It's not a flawless pic by far, but its one of my personal favorites because i like the symbolism. you have the carousel (symbol for youth, energy, movement, etc) in movement blur in the background, and 2 older gentlemen (symbolizing age, slowing down, concreteness, etc) who are perfectly still.

I really like this shot for it's motion, and the two men sitting at the front look like they are taking no notice at all that the Carousel is about to take off into outer space :lol
