Night Heron
Don't get to see these round here very often but we have a colony of around 11 of these beautiful birds. They sound like little dogs flying home to roost. Comments welcome, still learning this new 50D.
Oh and... Hi Harry :cavig xx (I'm readin the manual)

Is this a different bird than the Black-crowned Night-heron?
I googled Night Heron but could not find a pic or discription of one that looks like your shot.
See the head is different in my shot of a BCNH.
and what we have in the West is Black Crown NH
I think or something like that
Whatever NH it is it is a good Caprture

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
