An excellent shot. I have a 40D and MP-E. What settings did you use for this shot?

I used a 580EX off-camera with a Gary Fong diffuser. Sometimes I also use a Lumiquest ProMax on the flash.

You are correct and I believe I should correct myself.
I don't believe I was using any diffuser for that pic.
I should have said that I "usually" use a diffuser.
Here's one taken with the Gary Fong Lightsphere where the lighting isn't so harsh.
