Noise can add to the image just as easy as take away....it depends on way too may variables starting with personal taste...

so if you want noise there then thats all that matters...
if you cant take it away, oh well, just say you wanted it there...

the composition is awkward and i dont like it IMO.....

also too much lighting for the image your going for maybe?

just some thoughts of mine.... i hope they are useful..thumb.gif

nothing more precious than a sleeping baby! In my opinion a baby would best be portraid without the grain...at least for this shot I would think because it looks like it should be soft since the babys alseep(IMO), but that is up to taste I suppose. I think also it would have helped to have the rest of the arm showing but know its not easy to pose a sleeping baby without waking them.
There is a little too much blackness on the top of the head making the babies head alittle too jagged. If an opportunity arises for a reshoot you might want to consider bringing a small ambient type light and set opposite to where the main light source is. This will give just a hint of defining between space and object.

when you open the Raw file in ACR from bridge you can adjust the clarity slider to the left to soften the image. (i think that would help)
