Any one else got rumors? I'd be interested in seeing how this improves over the current Mark III, but I guess we'll be waiting for PMA '09

I sorta hope this is false; I've been through the whole AF thing with my Mk III (have had it for about 14 months) and couldn't possibly afford to replace it under current economic conditions. That being said, my bet would be that it IS true for all the reasons referenced in the linked article. Canon needs to clean up its mess; the only reason they might hold off is, once again, the economy . . . how many people are going to rush out to buy the latest flagship, +/- $4K camera right now?

You know what makes this suck doubly? The trade-in or resale value of the known-to-be-AF-challenged Mk III will be abysmal.

I had a very rough honeymoon period with my III, but now we're getting along just fine . . . at least until her "perfect 10" younger sister shows up.
