Phane in the 40s
I had my first photoshoot with a model last night (i.e., not a friend I had to bribe with free dinner), and I had a lot of fun. The first half of the shoot was classic 1940s style and the latter half was broken doll/slaughter victim.
I've only just begun processing them, but this one may end up being my favorite from the whole set. It was an impromptu shot right at the beginning of the session as I noticed the setting sun was throwing some nice light and shadow onto my living room wall.
Thanks for stopping by! :thumb

Right out of Casablanca. (Yes I am a classic movie junkie!)
(Does she have on fake eyelashes? I just love it when my models do that.. Such a small thing to make such a big difference.)

Heather, it's funny, she and I are classic movie buffs. We were chatting about our favorite films and actors as she was getting ready for the shoot--we had a lot in common. And she is wearing false eyelashes. She came with them already on! Thrilled me to no end.
Last tease:
Culling photos from this shoot is proving really tough to do.

Thank you, Elaine. Good eye on the railing--that's out on my patio. We were walking back inside after a couple outdoor shots and I asked her to step around the raiiing and lean her elbows on it. Lighting was just an overcast day around 6:00pm. Shot w/my 50mm at f/1.4, ISO 200, 1/640.
i can only hope your exif date was messed up on accident....D
Wah? It shows yesterday's date. Or am I hallucinating?

Cannot WAIT to see the rest. Lots n' lots, please
I sort of hop around on my conversion methods depending on time, mood, and how much control I want to exercise over the contrast. This one used the Totally Rad Bitchin B&W action combined with the Antique Tone action (because I have 40 of these to do--I can't bring myself to cull anymore!).
I hope to have the lot processed tomorrow, so more to come!
I usually don't pay much mind to black-and-whites, but somehow you captured a fine shot--especially the way her EYES stand out.

it was just me joking,... hoping your exif was messed up so you could not enter this in DSS:D

I wondered later if you were joking; I tend to take things literally. But boy I sure quadruple-checked it anyway.
