it is really handy to know what is being used.
What sort of ballhead is that?
I like the simplicity of putting it on the flat.
What do you grab with your left hand? Do you wrap your fingers around the ballhead?

i hold the lens barrel with left hand, i can actually rest left end of straight bracket on my shoulder/forearm to give a good braced position to hold still.

this is what i use, use a bolt to hold ball head onto bracket at the end instead of flash shoe.
