As my first thread on Dgrin I'd like to share one of my first panos. This area is about a half hour drive of Hobart. This landscape stuff is something I can see myself getting rather addicted to .
Nice shot.
Worked in the scrub in tassie on & off for a while. Some beautiful/wild country down that way...
I would love to photograph that west coast.
Thanks Humungus, I am taking a day trip in a couple of weeks to a section of the East coast. I agree that the West coast is going to a must shoot area when time is available, as it is not something I think could be justified with just a day trip.
it's not too difficult: one box a month for the first three months, shipped to me. then a box every other month.
Email me your address Andy , your in trouble now having been exposed to the cherry ripes. No amount of rehabilitation will stop the cravings....lol
My personal favourite is the picnic bars though, peanuts covered in chocolate and caramel.

that humungus is the equivalent of a lower east side crack dealer. he brings up a couple for me at yosemite last week, doles 'em out in dribs and drabs, and then leaves me high and dry. i have the dt's from withdrawal mate!

ROFL!! now that is not very nice of him. I should have mentioned that I have a cadbury's factory just a 10min drive away from me, where they make the cherry ripes and numerous other loverly chocolates So drop me an email and you never know a couple could just turn up oneday lol

Thats right...when i was working down there some of the blokes in the crew went & did a tour through the joint (one of them knew someone there & got an extra special deal)...we ate chockys for a week after it...$10 for a huge box of the stuff.
Ps..andy..i had a 'king size' straight out of the ridgy didge about 20 mins ago. God they are nice cold !!

It costs about $A40 for a 15kg box of mixed chocolate these days. It has been a long time since I was there. Used to do work up there on and off for a company and you could pick the chocky straight off the trays as you were walking around. It truel was heaven.....lol
There you go andy...$30 USD for 33 pounds of the stuff
You did say you wanted to come & shoot 0z ..well mate have a butchers here at tassie...beautiful plave to photograph & at that price for local chockys i recon you will have to go home on a cargo plane.
Well I have to add that the Cherry Ripe is my favourite, I liked the Milk Chocolate version when they made it. Why they stopped making it I don't know, it seemed to sell alright. :cry

Excellent shot David. I'm looking forward to seeing more of shots. Great having you over here.

Combine thin delicate fingers of crisp wafer, the irresistible temptation of chewy caramel with the goodness of rice crisps, all generously encased in rich Cadbury chocolate....and you’ve got yourself ...... one pretty big, ugly looking chocolate bar really.

Picnic bars are very nice but they aint cherry ripes. Glad you like the one i gave you. It was fully my intention to go over there & bait andy with them.
Those Chockys you gave me were delishi..deliciou...very nice also. I could only pull down one a night back in my hotel room in San Francisco though...wow they were so rich. My daughter had one when i got home & she loved it.
I was leaving & still had some left so i wrappped each one in a tissue then a plastic bag & waltzed straight through 0z customes with them.
All they wanted to see was that bloody beef jerky...no way was that coming into the country.

I would love to photograph that west coast. Now get me a photo of one of those giant tiger snakes that hang around on the islands.
