    Nicely done Neil thumb.gif Yep, Richard nailed that description....just what came to mind the moment seeing it. Good lighting, just the right amount of exposure on bg for separation.

    Aside from the likeness, this is a very good portrait. The coloration and lighting is excellent. Thanks for sharing.

    Yes. It was quite a long time ago, when the Louvre didn't feel like a subway at rush hour. I have to say, I was a little disappointed, probably because the image is so familiar that it is hard to see with fresh eyes. The last time I was there the gallery was so crowded I didn't even attempt to see it again. rolleyes1.gif
