Cape Schanck is a locality in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is the southernmost tip of the Mornington Peninsula and separates the wild ocean waters of Bass Strait from the slightly calmer waters of Western Port.
All the best,
Andrew

That, or the saturation may be pushed a bit too far.

Andrew, what a beautiful location! You've got some very nice shots there.

The first thing that came to mind is either that the post-processing was very heavy on the sharpening or else they are highly compressed. To me this is detracting from the overall images. I'd be interested in seeing these straight from the camera.

    Thanks for posting these!

They look over-saturated to me, too.

Nice subjects, too colorful and not natural.

My first reaction was that these images had been over-sharpened. However they are reproduced quite small so it is hard to appreciate them properly.

    Hi Andrew!

You've made these pop, but I think they also crackle a bit mwink.gif

The south east coast of Victoria has nice coastal scenery, but in the larger scheme of things the area you have photographed is not so dramatic. What is special is the feeling that you are (if you discount Tasmania) looking at the bottom of a continent, and (once again not counting Tasmania) that you are on the threshold of the Antarctic Ocean and Antarctica. Your pics are bright and summery, but don't hint at that special ambiance.

While we Australians are suckers for that intense light you have emphasised (it's archetypal weekend-at-the-beach weather), I think something more "ultima thule" in feeling might capture the special experience of this place.
