Bay Photo Turn Around Time

Hi,

I was just wondering what the typical turn around time would be for an order made through my smugmug site printed by Bay Photo?

    So far, one day :) We've not settled on a turn time yet but they are printing most stuff same-day. Some orders go out same day, depending on when they actually print, but to be fair and accurate, go with next day for shipping - so, order made on a Monday, would ship on Tuesday - then received by you based on ship method of your choice :D

    Hmm, that's weird then, because I placed my order at around 10:30am EST on Thursday January 29th, 2009. It is still saying that it is processing.

    The Giclee board can take an extra day. I expect it'll be printed today and then out.

    Yeah, once we have all the new stuff ironed out, we'll add this info to our shipping page, I expect.

    EDIT: I learned a few things from your order, Kyle- thanks - that being, mixed items may make the order take extra time in the lab. We're still ironing out service levels and stuff, but we expect that most orders will go by the day after lab receipt- some orders with multiple finishes, multiple types of products (prints and canvas, for example) may take longer.

    More concrete info as we get it!

    I ordered on Wed. and I just got them in the mail (Sat).

    Not too bad but I'm in So. Cal.

    Lisa, I'll definitely let you know what my experience is like. FYI, I went with the International Economy from the United States shipping option which I believe is 2nd business day via Fed-Ex.

    Also, I guess it didn't ship today because it's still stating that it's processing. So I guess the mixed order is definitely taking longer. That's always good to know for future reference.

    I'm in the same boat. I ordered an 8x10 Lustre and an 8x10 Glicee on the 28th (at 9:48 am). It still shows as "Printing and Processing".

    I'll be a little disappointed if it doesn't ship tomorrow.

    I placed an order with Bay on Sunday night, received the shipment notification e-mail on Monday, per UPS the prints will be in Chicago on Friday. clap.gif

    Had prints arrive in Australia (via International Economy shipping option) only five days after placing the order (includes weekend as well).

    I was very surprised as I was expecting two-three weeks!!!

    Now I need to get down to the framing shop and get the stunning metalic prints hanging on my wall ASAP!

    I just received my first order from Bay. All the pictures looked great and the packaging was first class.


    Placed order on 1/31-2/1 (Saturday or Sunday)
    Notification of Shipment 2/3
    Package received 2/10 (Indiana 3-5 business day shipping)
