Combinging two of Nik's assignments

It is a bright sunny day today (hooray). I am thinking I would like to try as many of the Assignments in the technique forum as interest me, to force myself to photograph outside the usual.

So Assignment 103 was natural light high key and 107 was cutlery ad.

And here is the beginning of my attempt at these assignments.

My problem with them is that I do not find the subject, of these photos in particular, all that compelling. Ideas for implementing this better are certainly welcome.

I love the snow okay well I love all snow, if you tried hard I bet you could make a snowman with the knife and fork and spoon
and that would be compelling really it would

Ummmmmm I think if my memory serves me well its okay to eat that colour snow, it's the yellow snow they say is not Lemon at all but just between you and me .... I think they fib

I'd be just tossing the utensils and making a snowman to photograph if I was you ... just joking.

I like the third shot Ann got some nice star bursts on each piece of cutlery too .... Skippy

It's been soooooo loooooonnnnnnnng since I visited the challenge galleries. I have no idea who some of these people are.

I see they consider the Sony alphas eligible :-)

I found Helen Bett's galleries on pbase, she's living in Washington, DC now. I wonder if she attended the inauguration.
