After drooling over some recent photos posted by coscorrosa http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=118067 I decided to try some of my own. It was actually mild and not horribly windy so I was able to set up the tripod without freezing in "sunny California" for once. While certainly no match for coscorrosa, maybe some of you will enjoy my attempt. The light as quite different at the southern end of the beach, so I was switching my manual settings like crazy when I turned to take this northern view.

While not as colorful as some other photos I've taken in this area, I like the misty quality of the waves during the long exposure. Besides being unusually warm the waves were unusually quiet. We had a surfer directly in front of us and he did get several rides, but he also spent quite a bit of time waiting. I am so enjoying this warm weather. I know it won't last long.
