MacDaddy upload problems

Hi there,
I'm not able to upload with MacDaddy. I tried the iPhoto plugin, also, and get (mostly) the same result.
I can create a new smugmug album in MacDaddy, and that works well. So I know it's talking to my account OK. In the iPhoto tab, I select an iphoto album and a destination SM album, and click upload. "Processing iPhoto data" blinks for a second and then is gone. It acts like it's finished, but nothing has been transferred. I've tried several different iPhoto albums, and yes, they all have pictures in them.
I've also tried using the Files tab in MacDaddy. Again, i can create the destination gallery no problem. I can add files to the queue. But when i start the queue, it appears to start on the first file but never makes any progress on it, and never times out - it will sit there for hours making 0 progress.
The iPhoto plugin is similar - it acts like it's uploading but makes 0 progress, forever.
I've tried deleting the .plist file for MacDaddy while the app was shut down. I also downloaded the latest version. I'm on 10.5.6.
Any ideas? Thanks...
