banner not showing

I'm sorry for all of my silly questions, I'm probably missing something simple. Anyway, I've tried it a zillion times over and over already, but I can't get my banner to show. Strangly, it shows on my screen, but as I have my friends check on the link, it doesn't come up! There are no restrictions on the image. Any ideas?

Your banner image is not visible to the rest of us. It may show for you either because it's in your browser cache or because you have permission to view it and we do not.

These are the things to check:

• Gallery must not be password protected
• Gallery must have external linking enabled
• The image must not be marked "[X] Hidden" in the gallery
• Gallery must allow public access to the size of the image that you are linking to (original size in your case)

Usually, when this is a problem, it is because the image has been marked hidden in the gallery (look for the hidden checkbox under the image in the Smugmug gallery view of that image).

thats what it was, it was marked hidden. thanks!
