Maine Feb 7-21: Where to shoot? Any meetups?

I will be in Maine for the upcoming 2 weeks. I will be shooting in the Richmond and Brunswick areas while visiting family. I'm looking for other suggestions of where to shoot in the area during winter. I am familiar with the mid-coast area but have not shot there except in summer.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'd also love to meet up with some DGrinners during my visit!

    Roadtrip to Boothbay Harbor- not far, but very photogenic. If you want to wander a little further- Blue Hill is great, and of course Acadia/Bar Harbor. Still not crazy far, but it's a full day commitment from where you'll be. Kinda stark up there this time of year- might check into the toboggan world championships in Camden... not sure what weekend that happens, but it's a hell of an event with lots of cool people to snap.

    +1 on Boothbay, also Pemaquid Harbor.

    I suspect that Baileys and Orr's island would provide a few good photo ops.

    If your heading North a bit, you might try Five Islands.
