Square thumbnails??

I have some galleries that were around before square thumbnails were available. I've set them to square thumbnails, but new thumbnails have never been generated. Is there something else that I need to be doing. Note: these were set to square thumbnails weeks and months ago, not just minutes ago.

Go to tools>many photos>adjust thumbnails, thanks!
