A few shots from last night @ Loy Norrix v. Portage Central. I'm not totally satisfied with the overall quality but I think the action is OK.:D

C&C Always welcome and helpful.:wink

The backgrounds on these is really distracting. #5, 6, & 7 seems to isolate the sunject a bit better. It may be a higher vantage point or a little more flash or something different in post.

Some of the jerseys seem a bit blue. An adjustment to WB or different choice in curves adjustment might improve things.

#2 your focus seems to be on the stands rather than the players.

it's not the size of the lens that matters... It's how you focus it.

Thanks for your comments Sean, much appreciated.

#1-4, I debated a closer crop, but I decided to get as much of the basket and ball in the shots as possible and still maintain the 8x10 format which is the size most parents ask for.

#2 is most likely due to the slower focus of my 50mm lens and I just blew it.

#5 & 7 are the only ones I can see the blue tint in the jerseys. I was shooting auto WB and I didn't adjust in post. I suspect #7 could be a reflection from the blue unis on the opposing player. wings.gif

    Thanks again,
