The scorching weather seems to subside a little. I took this opportunity to further experiment with Leica 50mm f2 R Summicron with a few casual protrait.
This lens really gives me a lot of room. It is a Cam I lens and 30 year old optical construction does not fail me at all. Even with such a harsh lighting environment, the lens renders more shadow details than most of pentax limited could offer me...
Here are a few shots from the St Kilda Beach, Melbourne, Australia.
All take at f2 but the EXIF always shows f2.4 All the metering data embedded in the images are not accurate.

I am NOT a girl :D but still the photos are very good and need some kudoz!

The only thing i find not really right is in the first one..The intesity of the eye is a bit to much. If just toned down a tad = killer photo!

The second one is flawless imo.

Good one! that lens sure does what it suppose to!

I, on the other hand, love the intensity of the eyes in the first one. I think they turn what could be a rather ordinary photo into something special!

thumb.gif I agree with Scott. The eyes make the shot stand out. Reminds me of an ad image in a magazine...selling something to the women folk.

I've never heard of the lens, but it's working for you.

    Thanks for sharing.

Great photos. I love the eyes. They seem to shoot right through you, the intensity is great.

I looked this morning, but didn't have time to comment. Very nice way to start my day. Thanks. Oh, and good work.

I, too, like the intensity of the eyes in #1. Does remind one of a cologne ad in a magazine. My only suggestion would be to clone out the lightpoles (?) off his left shoulder (and maybe his right shoulder as well).
