Just picked up an old Vivitar 2800 at a thrift store for $2.00. It works off the camera but based on some voltage reports I have not hooked up to my camera.

How can I make use of this flash?
Well every person you can know,
And every place that you can go,
And any thing that you can show,
You know they're nouns.

One method-get a wein safesynch hotshoe adapter and you could use it on camera- I would probably just get a optical slave/hotshoe adapter though and use it off camera. The problem with this method though is the light the 350d uses to calculate exposure(preflash) will set off even the "digital" slaves too soon, so I use a flash on the camera that can be set to manual(no pre-flash) or a radio trigger.
