wordpress blog domain issue????

I searched and found nothing...tries to post in a similar thread and no responce. Sorry for being a pain and starting a new thread but I have a pressing issue that I need cleared up

I am trying to set up a wordpress blog hosted at smugmugdomains.com (godaddy) I installed wordpress to my hosting account from wordpress.org as I am trying to use the prophoto theme i purchased.
I got the hosting acount for this blog as I know smugmug cannot host it.

I set it up so it will point to www.crystalclearphotos.com/blog
My custom domain name at smugmug is www.crystalclearphotos.com

It is not working…the blog page doesn’t exist, will not load...it just goes to my smugmug homepage. Is it not possible to set it up this way?? Would a subdomain (blog.crystalclearphotos.com) work better or do I need to register a whole new domain name??? :dunno

Has anyone done this or know what I need to do to get the blog link working???

It would usually be

http://blog.crystalclearphotos.com since you have the crystalclearphotos.com cnamed to Smuggy....

I don't know wordpress hostname setup, sorry

As no-one has responded to this, I will throw it out there again... I would love to purchase a Prophoto blog & use it with my Smugmug...will it ever be possible, is it something that could be looked at please?

Andy answered in post # 2 above.

Just using "kim" in the domain as an example below.

If your smugmug site is http://www.kim.com, then your blog can be at http://blog.kim.com. It cannot be at http://www.kim.com/blog.

You could have your blog at http://www.kim.com and have your smugmug site at http://photos.kim.com.

You could have a home page outside of smug at http://www.kim.com, your blog at http://www.kim.com/blog, and your smugmug site at http://photos.kim.com.
