    Manfrotto 680b Monopod
Interested in the monopod. I'm new to the whole tri/mono pod thing, so I have a (probably dumb) question for you. Do this require a head like a tripod does? Also, was is the length extended and collapsed? Thanks!

It has a normal tripod screw at the top, so you can put your camera directly on it. Fully extended it's 60 3/4". Fully collapsed it's 20".

I'm interested in the backpack. I'd love to see some pictures of your gear in the bag for comparison.

I took some pictures with my wife's P&S. The camera compartment has my A700 with a 28-105 mounted, a 70-210, a 28-80, and my flash.

There second picture shows the room in the upper compartment for a cleaning kit, tons of other small supplies, etc. I also normally keep another lens in that compartment but in a padded lens case so it doesn't get banged around.

Then, of course, is the sleeve in the back for a laptop. I can fit the laptop and the power cord back there.

    Amazon has some pictures/illustrations too.

And of course Lowepro does too.
