Hi all. This is my first post here. I lurked for a while and now I'm putting my foot in! Would appreciate C & C. Shots taken with 2.8/70-200 G lens. I use a Sony a900 and a700.

nice colors, on #1 i would slow the shutter and pan so the spokes have some movement.

These are good! For #1, and perpendicular shots, I try and pan like Tim said, so the spokes have at least a little blur. #2 I would crop a bit tighter, to reduce the distracting background. For the head on or 3/4 shots, I like to use the faster shutter to freeze the action. You can try panning on 3/4 shots or in turns which is a bit harder but cool (when it turns out!). Those 3/4 head-on shots are fine with yours, and look like most magazine pics I see. I usually try to get the entire rider and bike, but that doesn't seem as popular from looking at other shooters. Hope to see more... thumb.gif

Thanks for the feedback on blurring the spokes. It does seem that clients prefer the sharper images. Maybe I can keep the rider sharp and just add movement to the spokes. I did pan this rider as she came around the turn. I have to admit, I was going for a sharp image. Thanks again.
