Hello All - this is my first post, though I've been using SmugMug for a year or so. I'm currently delayed in Antarctica (where I work as a research scientist) waiting for a flight back to New Zealand. I've been reading through the forums a while and I thought I might share just a couple shots from down here and see what everyone thinks. (I've gotten into photography a little in my down time here)....
'Canada Glacier' next to our field camp at midnight on a nice night:
Helicopter brining a sling load across McMurdo sound (that's Mt Discovery):
Mount Discovery again:
'Blood Falls' - iron-rich water spilling of the surface over the glacier:
Walking along a glacial meltwater streams:
Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think...
