It's hard to picture how high the tides are here, but number one is a fish trap at nearly low tide.

Number two is for scale and is my friend and traveling companion Nick. Nick is 6' tall.

The lens flare is intentional for drama.

Whoah, having never seen anything like this before, this boggles my mind!

I really had no idea about the tides, and this is terrifying in a way, to me.

Nice job illustrating the point! I'll stay off the beaches when i'm the area. :D

I Visited Nova Scotia a couple years ago, I noticing large vessels tied up and setting on the ground. The local fishermen explained how the tide worked. That is a nice illustration, it is hard to comprehend that in that area the tides will fluctuate 52 feet twice a day.
Only if we can harness that power.thumb.gif

    Thanks for looking.

There are no beaches here as it is dangerous 60' tides twice a day.

The undertow is horrendous and there's really not much sand.

This is in Harborville, on the Bay of Fundy.....(north of Digby on the west coast.)
