Yesterday afternoon I took a little trip up the Mississippi River to capture some eagles and try out my new Sigma 150-500mm lens. Well it turns out that that lens stinks and is being returned. I didn't have a single good image with that lens. It's crap. But that's another story. If I hadn't slung my IR D70s over my shoulder when I went hiking, I wouldn't have had a single good image to show for the day. Here's one of the levee at Swan Lake in the Twin Rivers Wildlife Preserve.

Sorry to hear about the Sigma lens. It always disappointing when you get something new and it doesn't workout.

However, this photo is a true standout. You really captured an incredible sky. bowdown.gif

    Hi Jeff,

This one really grabs my attention. Dramatic elements really come through. Well done.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Sucks about the new lens :(

But... this shot is fantastic! It seems like anytime I go out to shoot X, I end up taking better shots of Y (lens problems or otherwise) :D
