Hi, hello, hola!
Completely new newbie to this forum and Smugmug. So I thought I'd start by dropping in with a polite greeting to start with.

About me
What am I doing? I am looking at migrating a photographic library from another software package into Smugmug.
Why? My current set up requires far too much upgrading and website maintaining due to bugs and I've had enough. Which is a bit of a shame as I spent ages hacking the script with my own mods to my liking.
What do I think? Well like anything new Smugmug is a bit alien to me at the moment and I am having to work at getting my head around it. There are some really great things and some not so great aspects that don't quite fit my requirements... but overall I think it is an exceptional bit of kit. I am still weighing up the pros and cons.
Whats your bag man!? I am into Macro Photography and close up imagery and I see that there is a whole forum topic on this - yay!

As with any newbie I am bound to ask some quite stupid questions to start with, while I get into the source of it all. Please bare with me. I do use the help pages extensively but sometimes there's nothing quite like asking the question. Once I have settled in I should I hope get to grips with it really well, I usually do pick things up and learn new code and app's reasonably quickly.

I'm not one to use emotes too much but :D
Thanks and look forward to some forum mingling!

Kipper

Hello, Kipper, and welcome to the DGrin community. wave.gif

We welcome your macro photos or any other shots you'd like to share with us.

Don't be afraid to ask questions you may have. But also don't be afraid to search around to find answers to questions that have already been solved.
