I've been lurking on the Go Figure section of the forums. I haven't posted any comments because I don't really know anything about Boudoir/glamour/nude photography. I hear the term 'implied' tossed around, and I have no idea what it means. I have the general concept of body sclupting in mind, but without the proper lighting, it's very difficult to produce.

Here is my first offering of many to come. (Actually have a schedule nude shoot coming up, and I will post those here.)

Rachel is one of those girls that sexuality spills out of her without effort. I love the expression on her face in this shot.

Please tell me what you think.

    Frank,

My best body-sculptures were with natural light spilling thru a window. And thats how they are easier to "see" for me. We all see how Natural light plays and sculpts things within living spaces...and it is no different with our bodies.

Implied is easier than you think. We see implied in ads all the time...probably without much notice since it is ubiquitous.

    here is an implied(of mine): sans processing;

    Or this one:
    371871113_t4QMJ-S.jpg

Both of these show only skin, and imply that the gal isn't wearing clothing, yet the viewer does not really know if the model is truly naked.

What I like about the photo you have here is her skin on her face: smooth. And with the look in her eyes that is seductive.

That hair of hers is beautiful as well.

What I do not favor is her lips disappearing into a blur.

As far as the hand: Apparently the Mods didn't think she was acting in a sexual manner here, but I am not certain. If her hand is just resting there then I don't like it. And if it is tweaking the nipple, then the Mods shouldn't like it...so I am confused with the hand placement.

Keep it up and I look forward to more of your posts~

    Cheers, tom

I think if her breasts are going to be in front of her face, it would look better with her head back, or a gentle incline. It looks like her chin is almost on her chest, with her neck bent toward you. I guess it also gives me the feeling like she's been stuffed into a small space. If you could reshoot a similar angle, but with her laying on an incline made of pillows, maybe you could get shot of her peering through her breasts without looking uncomfortable. I also would like to see her lips in focus.

What I like: the voluptuousness of the model, the expression- especially the eyes, the idea of the model peering out from between her breasts

It's great that you'll have another opportunity to work with this model. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

The best part of this photo is the sultry look you captured in her eyes.

Unfortunately, her body position makes her appear bunched up and unnaturally posed. I also don't care for the nipple being partially cropped on the left.

My biggest nit is the pp on her mouth. It looks overly smoothed and blurred. Her lips deserve better pp.

Shoot again with this willing and voluptuous model.clap.gif

Thank you all for the kind comments. As a noob photog, I thought that blurring the lower part of her face would bring more attention to her eyes. But when the subject is the human body, the entire body is the what needs attention. Learning as I go and thanks for the critiques.

In regards to the posing, all I was doing was clicking away. She had an idea of what she wanted. Here are a few more examples from the shoot:

These shots were from the summer, now I'm a little more experienced with lighting. The second set will be more technically appealing at least.

In regards to implied, I like that concept and think I'll try it out looking for that, instead of capturing it by accident.

In the last set, her lips are still very blurry, and it looks very weird. I can't put my finger on it, but that'd have to be my biggest negative about the photos. The last shot however I think is the best, compositionally, what's in focus, exposure, skin tone, etc...

Can't wait to see the progress.
