1. I am in the process of updating my site. Is there any way to hide some of the galleries until I am finished what I'm doing. This way if anyone visits they will see a finished project.
2. I need some definations on the use of the words:
Portfolio
Galleries
Gallery
As used in pricing your photos?
If I set a price to my portfolio does that mean that any photo on my site now have a price when it is uploaded or do I need to redo my portfolio each time I upload photos?
3. I have only been on smugmug and dgrin for a year and a half, I am not even close to where most of you started out. I have been taking classes on photography, lighting. The question here is if there is a place for people like me to go. (like a do this before you call me link) I use the search lots. I have read and even printed out most of the articles on the smugmug help section. I read the forum and add anything that I feel is important to my favorites. I just don't want to be a bother.
4. Is there a way to have some of you give me CC on my phots without me going to the whipping post?
ok, I have taken up enough of you time. Thanks for the help.
Have a wonderful day.

Have you seen this pricing help page - http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-pricing? If you set the pricing at a portfolio level, all photos in all galleries will "inherit" that price unless you explicitly apply a different price to a gallery or photo. You do not need to redo pricing when you upload photos.

Once I set a portfolio, that is what is in effect until I set a gallery or image price. right?
also any photo I upload will have a price because I set a portfolio price no matter when that upload happens? right?

yes I read the link and I read your answer.
I was just trying to confirm that I understood it all.
Sorrry for bothering you again.
Maybe there is a better site for me to be at than smugmug and dgrin?
If you have any suggestions that would be great.
thanks for your help.

Please understand, it is extremely frustrating to give someone an answer and get exactly the same question that was asked before in response. If you don't understand part of an answer, say you don't understand and need clarification. No one minds answering again in that case. But asking the exact same question a second time makes me wonder why I took the time to answer it in the first place.
Keep asking questions.
