This little guy was right at the edge of my minimum focusing distance...so it is a little soft. Always something!

In breeding plummage from last April.

    very nice looking bird, ric.

    Sharpness is fine, imho..

    Sometimes we get a bit too obsessed with razor sharp images.. or oversharpening.. deal.gif
    Canon 40D, 50mm f/1.8, 400mm f/5.6L, sigma 105mm Macro.

    Wow! What a great look at a butter butt! Love the pose and the red leaves add a splash of color to more of the image.
