Your dining room is decorated in little blue squares with question marks in them?
Okay, just kidding. But unless your photos are still processing on Smugmug or something, it doesn't look as if the links point to them. Maybe I just need to wait a little longer for them to appear...
Your biggest problem in these is the focus issue. Just keep working at it. I'm not crazy about the gun shots, but the other poses are not bad. Did you use any reflectors or just the window? Trying to shoot indoors with only natural light is tricky.
I agree with the focus issue, but lets see if we can blame the camera for some of it!
If you wouldn't mind posting the camera/lens setup you used and possibly the EXIF data for one of the out-of-focus shots, we can give you a hand.
For example, I've committed this sin before. I was shooting indoors, with my Nikon D40, kit lens, no flash, badly lit room. This was before I knew how to push ISO, and I was shooting around 1/10th of a second...and wondering why every other shot was out of focus! While some of it was camera shake, my newbie-ish camera was having trouble hunting for focus in the low light.
Also, if you're trying a lens on manual focus, it is going to take some practice. I just picked up a 50mm f/1.8 for myself, but it doesn't autofocus on my D40, so I'm getting really good at manual focus, but my first shots were horrificly out of focus while I got used to using manual focus. I'm still not very fast at it, but at least I'm consistent, I'll pick up speed sooner or later.
Biggest thing is, don't get discouraged...I almost did when I had a set like this back on my old 35mm camera. I thought, "I stink, why should I do this..." and thankfully, a friend really needed some pictures and I was forced to get back on the horse.

No reflectors, Just the windows. I know part of my prob was not using a tripod. I know, I know, I should know better.

Thank you, I do blame part of this on the cameras as I currently do not have a Dslr YET. However I do have a manual control on my camera. It is a Sony DSC-H3. But I get so confused. I have tried to use the manual control but HATE the results I get. There for I use AUTO. please don't Shoot. HEHE. I am about ready to give up. I have seen some fantastic professional shots with a P&S. I really want to learn about lighting and such before I buy a SLR. any suggestions???
