Hello all!
These shots are from Lock & Dam 18, IL on the Mississippi river which is near Burlington IA. There were roughly 300 eagles on the river this past weekend. Two weeks ago there were around 800 eagles. These are a few of the better shots from my trip, there are more at www.SamSwartz.Net
If you ever get a chance this is a great place to photograph eagles with out going to Alaska in the winter. Any questions let me know!! Thanks and I hope you enjoy them!

These photos were taken with my Canon 1D Markk II with my manual Canon 600mm FD.
Every thing about these photos were taken "manually", it was a lot of work and something new for me but it was a lot more gratifying to work that hard for a shot!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
