I always feel relatively akward at that moment due to the grandparents all around. I know it's all good fun, and generally results in some really fun images, but geeeehhh....eek7.gif haha

    Choice
I know what you mean but those are the GP's in the background and they seemed to be OK with it. I usually just shoot and let the B&G toss it out later if they don't like it. I do not give directions here, this was the grooms choice. I do make certain that I get my customary shot before they are allowed to go wild.

From 2001-2007 I had maybe 5% of couples do garter and bouquet.

    From 2007-present more like 50%.

I think it is the economy...when it is good more people like to pretend they have class, when it is bad they are all for cheap thrills. From 01-07 I was photographing a lot of Jewish, Greek and other ethnic weddings so that may play into it somewhat. I'm not sure I have ever photographed a Jewish wedding that the couple did it. Maybe that the guy was Jewish but I'm pretty sure never that the girl was.

I find that it happens more when the couple has a planner. They must work from a preselected list of things to do. It also seems to very with the venue.

Ha Ha I love those shot's they are soo funny sometime's... We have a plan for our wedding, we want everything to be so out of place, you know not the traditional stuff... but fun stuff that everyone will remember...

So we are thinking of something else when he goes in for the pull!!!! Maybe a chicken (fake of course) or a baby, I don't know yet, but I know everyone will be surprised and crack up... Our families are full of joker's and prankster's so we have to pull a big one.... lol

Your grandma's underwear... that would be hilarious! He pulls it out, and walks it over to her. $10 for the underwear, THOUSANDS for the wedding, the look on her face and the reaction of the crowd THOUSANDS as well, because receptions aren't cheap thumb.gif.
