Firefox - SmugManager/Browser - Status???

Hi All,
I'm running on an iMac, and I've been wanting to try out the plugins for Firefox. I have seen two mentioned in the threads here, SmugManager and SmugBrowser. The last post concerning them seems to be back in Dec 08.
Are these projects dead, in limbo, or what. Neither one will install in the latest version of Firefox, at least on my system. I am not interested in using an older version of Firefox given the security updates that have taken place. It's too bad that we don't have something like the Star Explorer for the Mac side of the house, either for Firefox or Safari. (Star Explorer is for Windows only, correct???)
Am I missing something somewhere?
Thanks,
Barry

I use SmugBrowser on the latest version of Firefox 3.0.6 and it works fine.

Thanks for the reply, John. I tried to install it from the firefox site, and no go. I also saw in the old post that others had the same issue. Do you remember where you got yours from?
Thanks,
Barry
EDIT: I think, anyway. I will go back and double check - one more time...

But, good grief, Charlie Brown...
Firefox absolutely refused to install this with an error I saw in the original thread
Finally, out of pure frustration I download the file to my local drive using Safari. Once I had the xpi I double clicked it and instructed the Mac to open it using Firefox - that did the trick - it installed!!!
Now off to play with this. Thanks gang!
Barry
